Fluttering By with Thanks

I just had a card-making workshop a couple nights ago and gave out some door prizes, two of which were sets of 3 handmade note cards. So I'm starting to replenish my supply for the next workshop!

This little CAS card went together very quickly, but the next 3 will be even faster! The green "grass" is cut from a 4"x 8" piece of print cs. On the back I drew a line at 2" across the 8" length. I randomly cut grass blades up and down keeping the center line in the middle so half of the blade was above and half below (or close). That way the part on top that is cut away can be turned upside down and used as another "grass" piece. The 8" pieces were cut in half, giving me 4 of them...so 4 cards have a quick start! The butterfly is printed and die cut 4 times so I can color all 4 at the same time. I used the Fun Stampers Journey matching sets, "Enjoy the Journey" stamps and "Butterflies" dies. The butterfly is colored with alcohol markers and adhered with a couple foam squares. The 'Thank You' sentiment, and the butterfly are stamped with dark brown FSJ ink, and the twine is colored with that ink to match.
Other ingredients: 'Thank You' from stamp set called "Greet & Shout" -FSJ
The kraft card stock, white and print are Fun Stampers Journey as well as the twine ('natural')

Pretty In Pink

A quick post today with a very PINK card! I love using roses and lots of pink...and lacey die cuts too! The challenge blog called The Card Concept is having its 1st anniversary and I followed their requirements for this challenge. I used the the Freestyle Collage "concept" on this card. I was inspired by both Laura Jane's and Angela Maine's. Lovely cards!

I will list the items used to make this one a bit later.

Winter Birthday

Brrrr! Its cold out there! It got down to -12 a couple nights ago. That's when I know for sure it is time to just stay in my craftroom and make cards. So that's what I did today. I've been making a lot of cards lately using as much Fun Stampers Journey products as possible (because I'm a Coach and want to promote FSJ whenever I can)...but not today! Today I decided to let loose and use anything I wanted! I did use some FSJ stuff because it is already my favorite! I took a sketch and a color theme as well as the winter theme and ran with it all!

Happy Birthday with a Cherry on Top

Here is a fun little card I made for  a friend's birthday. I like the image of the cupcake with the cherry on top...an individual birthday cake! The cherry and the cupcake paper are colored with alcohol markers. Then I added glaze to the cherry so it is glossy! The frosting is solid fine glitter too.

Once again I've used several Fun Stampers Journey craft supplies:
cupcake image- FSJ "Birthday Sketch" set
glaze- FSJ Journey Glaze
Happy Birthday stamp- FSJ "Greet & Shout" set
banner dies- FSJ "Pennants" with stamps- FSJ "Banner Party"
I also used a couple Spellbinders dies: "Classic Scalloped Circles Large" and "Standard Circles Large".
The mottled lime green paper (at the bottom) is FSJ from the set called "Zombie Nights".
The light green polka dot and the red 'star' print papers are from Hobby Lobby.
The black card base is also FSJ cs "Black Licorice".

On the inside of the card I used all the same papers/cs and added a white shape to write a personal birthday greeting. That I decorated with a couple stamped banners from the "Banner Party" set using FSJ inks.

This month Fun Stampers Journey is offering a great Hostess Special for anyone hosting a qualifying party totaling $150 or more...a MYSTERY BOX containing $50 (or more!) worth of  "throwback" FSJ product! That means items no longer in the catalog like stamps, inks, accessories, + + +!! I've seen what a couple gals got in their boxes: a stamp set, 2 ATS stamps, ink, re-inker, and glitter/sparkle dust...wow! And every box is different! For those of you who do not live near me, you can have an "on-line party" that you host...you just invite your friends to look at the FSJ catalog on our website and order right there indicating they are "attending" YOUR party! Very easy! You can just send invites via emails, post to your Facebook friends, hand out postcards, etc. Interested? Let me know! Leave a comment or email me at Fivensandie@aol.com.

Thank You Fun Stampers Journey!

Today is a beautiful snowy day here in Michigan! And COLD, too! But the glistening white snow is SOOOO much prettier than all that brown and gray dead stuff...and mud! I took a walk to the mailbox (about a quarter mile) and just about froze my face off...but it actually felt good, once I was back inside! LOL
So today I'm finally posting a Thank You card I made and sent to Fun Stampers Journey headquarters to thank them for the adorable calendar they sent me. It was a "Thank You" from them to me for joining their company. Its a little spiral-type book calendar decorated on every page with FSJ artwork! Has places to write notes, to-do items, workshops, reminders....everything! And of course, I used almost all FSJ products to make my card.

Here's my list of ingredients:
Background stamp- FSJ "Paper Floral"
Thank You stamp- FSJ "Greet & Shout" set
Twine- FSJ Black
White cardstock- FSJ "Whip Cream"
Glitter- FSJ "Sparkle Dust"
Ink- FSJ "Black Licorice"
Memento "Bamboo Leaves"
Flower die- Sizzix TH "Flower Garland"
Colored pencils, cardstock, vellum- from my stash

White on White Monochromatic + Sparkle!

Good evening, Blogger Friends!
I've been in my craft room being crafty again...made this anniversary card for no one in particular, but sure had fun doing it! Again, it is made with mostly Fun Stampers Journey products.
When I joined this company I worried that I would have to buy all new stuff and not be able to use the mountain of paper crafting supplies I already own. But that is not the case at all. There are some of the people who sell Fun Stampers Journey products that think we should never show any other stuff, but I don't agree. I like to show others how perfectly compatible it is to use with all kinds of other products! The FSJ products are very good quality and I will gradually try to add more and more of  the FSJ stamps, dies, inks, papers and embellishments...as I can afford them and as I use up some of my other supplies. Would I recommend FSJ products? Certainly! They are the latest, super-creative, gorgeous crafty stuff on the market! Interested? Go to www.funstampersjourney.com/335 and check it out!

The fun set featured at the top of the card is a set of 4 dies with a matching stamp set.
Dies: FSJ "Pennants"    Stamps: FSJ "Banner Party"
The cute little emblem on the pennants is one of 8 different tiny stamps included that fit perfectly. AND they just happen to match the stamp I used to make the background, as well as the round label...all Fun Stampers Journey! Label stamp: "Pretty Label"    Background stamp: "Damask Print"

The inks I used are: Stampin' Up "Close to Cocoa" & Studio G "Lt. Brown"
Glue: Tombo Mono Aqua (has a great pen tip!)
Fine Glitter: FSJ "Sparkle Dust"
Die behind label: Spellbinders "Big Scalloped Circle Lg."
"Happy Anniversary" stamp: ?? (generic)

Happy New Year! 2015 is Here!

As we head into a new year it is very comforting for me to know that I will not be alone no matter what the year holds. My God promises to stay with me every step of the way, and, yes...He gives the strength to live each day!
This simple note card, which features that comforting Bible verse, includes a few of  my Fun Stampers Journey products once again:
the circle floral stamp, called "Pretty Label"
the turquoise ink, called "Blue Lagoon"
the twine, called "Black Licorice"
The cardstock used is from my stash; the embossing folder I used is "D'vine Swirls" by Cuttlebug; and the Bible verse stamp is from the JustRite set called "Cast All Your Cares".
